In this edition of PeopleSoft Talk, Marc Weintraub and Rebekah Jackson go over some big “gifts” Oracle PeopleSoft provided to customers in 2017. There were hundreds of features and functions created and enhanced this past year. In particular, Marc and Rebekah highlight Event Mapping, Supplier Scorecarding, Onboarding, Operational Metrics, Expenses Integration with Twilio, Page & Field Configurator, Cloud Manager and Mobile Technician.
In 2017, users gave feedback and PeopleSoft listened. Event Mapping was enhanced in PeopleTools 8.56, which allows customers to have their customizations more elegantly handled in the architecture. This means applications can do what they need to do for that customer, tailored to their needs but without having the significant impact on being able to take new functionality. Onboarding was requested by many and is a new enhancement in Human Capital Management. It delivers a very efficient way to bring employees into the organization and cover all of the different activities that are needed, all while utilizing very flexible, configurable activity guides. Cloud Manager automates the entire cycle around provisioning and managing PeopleSoft environments in the Oracle Cloud. Mobile Technician allows technicians in the field to process transactions from their mobile devices.
