PeopleTools 8.57 introduces the Personal Analytic Notifications feature, which allows applications to interact with the end-user; the system will tell you what needs your attention. This feature uses Pivot Grid thresholds to define boundaries; if the boundaries are exceeded, a notification is sent to the user and the users can respond accordingly.

Analytics

PeopleTools 8.57 Analytics includes:

• Enhancements to Performance Chart Series – i.e., allows the user to limit the number of facets that are initially loaded, which allows the page to load faster.
• Chart Series Drilling – users can now drill down to a fact in the selected x-axis and a series in a Pivot Grid model.
• Runtime Prompts – users can modify the prompt values to gain insight from the current context for better business decision-making capabilities.
• Adding Analytics to the NavBar and Dashboard – users can add an analytic to any Fluid Dashboard, Homepage or the NavBar.

Search Framework

PeopleTools8.57 Search Framework includes:

• Enhancements to Multi-Facet Select – users can now choose multiple facets to filter search results.
• Support for Elasticsearch 6.1.2 and Delivery and Support for Kibana.
  • Indices are no longer collated – each search definition will be in the index.
  • The Ingest Attachment plug-in replaces the Mapper Attachment plug-in.
  • Shipped with a new Elasticsearch DPK.
  • Python-based, fully automated, silent installers.
  • Adds Index Build Metrics to enable customers to use data analysis and visualizations in Kibana.

User Experience

PeopleTools 8.57 User Experience includes:

• Unified Related Content Analytics – related information and analytics display on a single pane for easier navigation management and personalization.
• Personalized Tile Labels – when you use an “add to” link, you can personalize the label for the tile or “favorite item.”
• Grid Enhancements – users can configure grids on Fluid pages, enabling them to export grid data to Excel, personalize the grid and find data.
• Accessibility Enhancements
  • Users can create a new type of data display mechanism on Fluid pages.
  • Sectional tabs are embedded within the Fluid page.
  • Pop-up menus are a new navigational control type for Fluid pages.

Portal Technolgy

PeopleTools 8.57 Portal Technology includes:

• Tile Wizard Enhancements
  • Tile Wizard can now use a PeopleSoft query or stored SQL as a data source, similar to the Application Class Data source.
  • You can elect to display up to three live data areas, a trend image and match data.
• Branding Framework
  • The default header now includes the company info element.
• Activity Guide Enhancements
  • You can configure context data to display as fixed for up to three lines of data.
  • You can override the label for the “submit button.”
  • Navigational and Action buttons are now displayed in the sub-banner.

Reporting and Integration

PeopleTools 8.57 Reporting and Integration includes:

• Composite Query in Business Intelligence Reports
  • Business Intelligence Publisher now enables a composite query as a data source type for a Business Intelligence Publisher report, along with the existing data source.
  • Users can create a new Business Intelligence Publisher data source type for composite query and associate it with any composite query that you are authorized to access and run.
• CI to RESTFul Integration
  • Users are now able to create rest-based web services from an existing component interface or CI.
• REST Patch Method
  • A new HTTP method in the Integration Broker Rest Framework.
  • Used to update partial resources.

Lifecycle Management

PeopleTools 8.57 Lifecycle Management includes:

• Reusable Searches
  • Now includes standard system search criteria for common use cases.
• Unified Compare Report contains both MO and ADS project.
• Command Line Support now provides the ability to import, export and generate execution option properties.
• Improved Test Recording
• Secure Folders

Security

PeopleTools 8.57 Security includes:

• Stronger Encryption and Data Privacy Masking.
  • Now uses AES encryption technology instead of triple DES encryption.
• Access Control for Files on the Web Server
  • Users can create dynamic access control to any parent folder and files under a system to find storage root folder on your web server.
