P-053416: The Most Powerful UDO You’re Not Using: JD Edwards Notifications
This session was presented at INFOCUS 2026.
What if JD Edwards could tell you what needs attention instead of waiting for users to find it? Notifications are often treated as a simple alerting mechanism, but they represent a foundational component of modern EnterpriseOne automation. Utilizing watchlists, Orchestrations, and rich message delivery, Notifications enable organizations to move beyond reactive processing toward proactive management. Despite these capabilities, Notifications are frequently overshadowed by newer technologies and remain an overlooked opportunity for many JD Edwards customers. This presentation demonstrates how organizations can leverage Notifications to reduce manual monitoring, improve process compliance, and increase the value of existing JD Edwards investments – without custom development. Attendees will see a Notification built from scratch, watch how to set the Notification up to run on the Orchestrator’s Scheduler, and review resulting emails, leaving with real-world use cases that showcase why notifications may be the most underrated UDO in the EnterpriseOne toolkit.
Speaker: Julie Morrison, Denovo, part of Argano.
