Product returns are expensive, slow, and manual because someone has to touch and inspect each item before a decision is made. That lag drives up warehouse labor, delays refunds, and leaves your JD Edwards inventory and recovery values out of sync with reality. In this session, we'll show how JDE EnterpriseOne Orchestrator and Generative AI can pre-classify product condition before the item arrives, using only the customer's return comments. You'll see how free-text reasons are converted into clear disposition categories—New/Sealed, Like New, Refurbishable, Damaged, or Non-Resale (hygiene/severe damage)—and then drive an automated workflow in JDE: Orchestrator receives the JSON payload from a third-party returns system, calls GenAI for classification, creates the appropriate purchase order, and uses Receipt Routing to apply the correct status so inventory and refund processes update with zero or minimal manual review. We'll walk through the orchestration design, the GenAI prompt pattern, error/low-confidence handling, and how to measure business impact in cycle time, labor savings, and recovery value.

This session highlights New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) and its PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modernization on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) through implementation of Oracle PeopleSoft Cloud Manager. Attendees will gain a practical, end-to-end view of the implementation and the measurable benefits achieved. The presentation explores how NBCC used Cloud Manager—particularly Policy Manager—to automate Dev, Test, Training, and Production environments. By scheduling automated start/stop events, NBCC reduced costs and improved efficiency. Capabilities such as self-service provisioning, automated backup and restore, Lift & Shift, and lifecycle management further streamlined operations and maximized uptime. A concise overview of key features will include environment provisioning, governance, install and configure, orchestration, updates and upgrades, PeopleTools patching, selective adoption, and backup and recovery. Delivering changes in JD Edwards with speed and confidence requires more than manual test scripts and spreadsheets. Modern JDE organizations are looking for automated, repeatable testing that fits inside their existing Oracle stack, not another external tool. In this session, we demonstrate a JDE-native test automation platform that uses Orchestrator, APEX, and Oracle Visual Builder to automate end-to-end business process testing, including real test evidence PDF creation and real-time dashboards. The next step: AI-assisted testing. We show how AI is used to enhance testing capability by: •Automatically generating test data and input variations •Recommending test cases based on JDE usage patterns and change impact •Identifying high-risk areas for regression testing •Assisting with test documentation and exception explanation Combined, these capabilities help teams accelerate testing, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability before ESUs, upgrades, and deployments, all inside the Oracle ecosystem. We will walk through a real Procure-to-Pay scenario (vendor → PO → receipt → match → voucher), demonstrating automated testing orchestration from start to finish. Over time, our JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environment accumulated numerous custom integrations—each built differently and managed separately through batch jobs, external schedulers, and manual monitoring. We saw an opportunity not just to modernize these legacy integrations but to build a sustainable, future-ready integration framework inside JD Edwards itself. Using Orchestrations, UDOs, Pages, custom tables, and low-code/no-code extensions, we created a configurable Integration Portal that brings visibility, automation, and self-service directly to end users. The portal now handles processes across Payroll, AP, AR, and HR while preserving JD Edwards security and enabling users to re-run or correct processes without IT intervention. We’ll share how we transformed years of disconnected integrations into a modern digital platform that connects EnterpriseOne with cloud services, analytics, and AI, setting the foundation for future innovation.
