This session highlights New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) and its PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modernization on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) through implementation of Oracle PeopleSoft Cloud Manager. Attendees will gain a practical, end-to-end view of the implementation and the measurable benefits achieved. The presentation explores how NBCC used Cloud Manager—particularly Policy Manager—to automate Dev, Test, Training, and Production environments. By scheduling automated start/stop events, NBCC reduced costs and improved efficiency. Capabilities such as self-service provisioning, automated backup and restore, Lift & Shift, and lifecycle management further streamlined operations and maximized uptime. A concise overview of key features will include environment provisioning, governance, install and configure, orchestration, updates and upgrades, PeopleTools patching, selective adoption, and backup and recovery. Learning objectives include: Understanding the implementation process. Identifying required resources and timelines. Quantifying operational and financial benefits. Leveraging Policy Manager to lower total cost of ownership through automation. The session addresses common questions: Which features drive the most value? How does Cloud Manager reduce costs? What resources are required? The primary message is the business case for lifting and shifting PeopleSoft (CS, HCM, or FSCM) to OCI and fully adopting Cloud Manager. Through a real-world case study, this session is especially relevant for organizations that have moved to OCI but have not yet implemented Cloud Manager to unlock its full value.
