Learn how we deployed cycle counting within our environment to provide automatically generated and randomized cycle counting based on item priority. We explain not only how we automated and randomized count generation, but also how we handled work days, backdated cycle counts, monthly and daily accuracy reporting, accuracy tolerance, staging locations, lot level accuracy, and recounting. We also explain lessons learned and potential pitfalls that we discovered throughout implementation at each facility.

Creating a business case for upgrading to the latest release of JD Edwards is difficult for many organizations. Better adoption of the system through an improved user interface: enhanced visibility to business operations through intuitive screens: and even faster response to support issues are “nice to haves:” but they are primarily “soft” benefits. Most organizations need a business case comprised of tangible: hard-dollar benefits in order to justify both the out-of-pocket and opportunity costs of an upgrade project. This case study presentation will describe how a JDE customer built an upgrade business case by finding improvement opportunities within their key business functions.

JD Edwards E1 UDOs such as Personal Forms, Form Extensions and other personalization’s are often an under used feature by users. Often viewed as overly complicated to create and use, these can be invaluable in improving usability and productivity in JDE E1.
By combining tried and true functionality with new tools release features such as Form extensions, Personal forms and custom grids, you can make the E1 experience more robust, your frontline workers more effective and give frequently used application screens a well-deserved make-over.
This presentation will discuss specific use cases of various UDO’s in the GL & Fixed Asset workspaces in E1, with step by step “How To’s” and examples of real time usage.

We demand success, and we demand it now. Traditional methods like manual or spreadsheet-based forecasting are no longer adequate in today’s fast-paced business environment. In a world where agility and accuracy are essential, AI is no longer a competitive advantage—it's a necessity for businesses to stay operational. Accurate forecasting is critical for optimizing supply chains, reducing excess inventory, and maximizing profitability. Companies leveraging AI-driven demand forecasting see up to a 50% improvement in accuracy, leading to better inventory management and cost reductions. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI offers advanced tools to elevate demand forecasting capabilities, turning complex data into actionable insights. This session will explore how product-centric businesses can integrate OCI AI into their demand planning processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making. Attendees will gain a deep understanding of how to tap into the power of AI to forecast future demand with higher precision and agility.

Martin Marietta Materials, US-based leading building materials supplier, is a long-term user of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. To support their growth and changing needs, as part of a larger, company-wide transformation initiative, Martin Marietta decided to consolidate security configurations from two distinct separate instances of JD Edwards into a single shared instance while maintaining two separate Security Workbench tables (one for production and one for all non-production environments) within the shared instance. This initiative gave them the opportunity to evaluate and update their security model.

Reliable security is a critical factor in any large ERP implementation project, but specific priorities change over time:

• At the outset, it’s crucial to have powerful tools to create a robust a security model, with efficient role design as well as a reliable means of identifying and fixing Segregation of Duties (SOD) conflicts.

• Once the consolidated system was live, the focus increasingly moved towards ongoing management of efficient role design and monitoring of SOD to streamline fraud detection and prevention.

Objective 1: Find out how Martin Marietta went about consolidating their roles, resulting in security that is much more effective and easier to manage.

Objective 2: Discuss how Martin Marietta maintained integrity to support multiple security workbench tables simultaneously.

Objective 3: Discuss the challenges and considerations of implementing and sustaining efficient access and SoD controls in JD Edwards

In conclusion, the merger and consolidation of two JDE instances into one provided a more streamlined, scalable secured ERP system to the customer. Learn how not only a consolidated system is more efficient, but also how it has provided the opportunity for clean security data to be merged; eliminating ‘junk data’ and making the security audit easier.
