OCI unveils new services every month. There are several key new services in security, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Most such services cover OCI and non-OCI platforms. This presentation will focus on the Oracle Cloud Security services and Observability and Management services. You will learn the benefits of these services and how they apply to Oracle Databases (on OCI and elsewhere), Database hosts, Application Servers, and WebLogic servers. In addition to monitoring and troubleshooting, we will discuss capacity planning and cost management.

Oracle APEX Application Development 22.2 introduces several new features and many enhancements to existing functionality. The new workflow approval component allows developers to easily integrate task management into their APEX applications. Further enhancements to progressive web apps (PWAs) enable a more native mobile user experience for end users. The new application search functionality provides declarative search functionality and a new “Invoke API” process type enables developers to easily map stored procedures to APEX form items. We’ll share a comprehensive overview of the features introduced with this release and will include several demonstrations of our new capabilities.

Oracle 12c R2 offers many enhancements in the In-Memory option. Oracle ACE, Anuj Mohan will point out performance-related problems and explain how Oracle 12c R2 In-Memory option can help with these problems. Xerox’s cloud first strategy involves multiple on-prem and public clouds. Recently, Xerox migrated some of their VMware landscape to Oracle Cloud VMware Solutions (OCVS). In this presentation, we will learn how to use MySQL Heatwave in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). We will set up 3 node InnoDB Cluster for ZERO data loss using High Availability, and will cover the steps to test failover.
Also, we will discuss Asynchronous Replication set up and fail over steps. Basic understanding of OCI, VCN, Instances, MySQL Heatwave will be covered as we go through the set up of HA.

Oracle Database 21c has been available in the cloud for over a year, bringing new features to the database architect. Since 19.1  was released, many new features, like improved multitenant features, blockchain tables, and automatic indexes.
