A Bright Future with Oracle Cloud HCM

At the BLUEPRINT 4D Conference in May 2023, in Dallas, TX, Guy Waterman, the Oracle Cloud HCM Vice President of Product Strategy, addressed current Oracle Cloud HCM customers and those considering a potential move to the Cloud to share the latest strategy behind Oracle Cloud HCM.

In this presentation, Waterman shared goals for Oracle Cloud HCM.  He wants the product to be viewed as a solution that gives customers all they need to follow employees from hire to retire employee lifecycle.  Waterman hopes that, with Cloud HCM, additional capabilities don’t have to be purchased to work with the product, but rather are built into the product stack. Additionally, Cloud HCM aims to use automated intelligence analytics to enable process automation and extensibility by making these solutions out of the box and easy to use.  Lastly, Waterman assured the audience that Oracle is committed to customer success by measuring how customers are using the system and providing guidance and assistance to address customer needs.

Waterman also shared new and improved capabilities that have been delivered in Cloud HCM within the last year.  In Employee Experience, these capabilities include improvements to Journeys, Help Desk, digital assistant, Oracle Grow, and more.  From the perspective of talent acquisition, Oracle Cloud HCM has provided candidate receipt resource management solutions. Within Workforce Management, there have been improvements to time and labor absence management and a workforce health and safety solution for those that must report OSHA incidents.  In Payroll, Waterman shared that there have been many different options of new payroll interfaces and integrations.  He also shared a Demo of Oracle Me – a grouping of solutions that exist within Oracle Cloud that provides an employee experience platform that empowers employees to connect, grow, and thrive. He also shared some of the Digital Assistant capabilities with over 150 different intents available.

Finally, Waterman looked to inform customers to help them understand what new features and capabilities are coming with Oracle Cloud HCM in the next six to 12 months, including delivering over 200 new pages that are based on the Redwood construct.  Redwood is the new user experience interface. The Oracle team has also been working on the ability to do position budgeting within Cloud HCM and expanding the payroll footprint across many different countries and organizations. They have also been looking at demand-driven staffing and how to provide a solution for it within Cloud HCM. Oracle is also planning to implement two new Talent Management solutions – a unified career experience as a part of Oracle Grow, and a rewards and recognition solution.
