C19 Wrap Up: Journey to the Cloud

A man stands at the window thinking with data graphics appearing

Moving to the Cloud offers several business benefits like greater flexibility, quicker deployments, fewer servers to maintain, and reduced headcount. Many organizations are seriously considering these benefits and are starting to make the journey to the Cloud. There are several options available to meet your business needs—public cloud, private cloud, community cloud, hybrid cloud.

Lately, the question has shifted from “Why should I move to the Cloud?” to “How do I get there?” People have had some time to soak in all of the information that has been coming out about Cloud and are ready to make the move.

There has been a lot of focus on how to migrate existing workloads and data centers to the Cloud. However, if you’re only thinking about current work, you’re missing out on a huge opportunity. Putting your new work in the Cloud has significant advantages, but only if you can make it work with your existing on-prem environment. It’s important to get a good cross-section of how to provision, test and launch in the Cloud, and ways to integrate with your existing applications and data.

Making the journey to the Cloud can seem daunting. Luckily, there were tons of great sessions at COLLABORATE 19 about getting started with this journey to the Cloud. Check out some of the session recordings from C19 attached below to learn about how you can get started on your own journey to the Cloud.
