Collaboration using Oracle Beehive/WebCenter Social

OCS (Oracle Collaboration Suite) is a legacy Oracle Middleware offering that was used by a team of researchers to run a KM (Knowledge Management) Portal for DoD (US Dept. of Defense) experimentation. While the team was amongst the beta users and the experience ground-breaking, over time OCS showed its age which necessitated the move to Beehive/Portal with OID/SSO to create the next generation of the Collaboration experience. While the new system met the expectations mostly, the presentation discusses some of its key features and its limitations. As a next path we also briefly talk about the Oracle Webcenter product that offers several enhancements but at a steep price.
