Learn more about one of our 2020 Distinguished Service Award winners – Dan Holverson! Distinguished Service Awards are given to members of the community who have been recognized as those who embody Quest’s core values.
With the current environment in mind, our community depends on individuals and companies that go above and beyond for others now more than ever. It seems like a fitting time to recognize those that have been distinguished contributors to our community over the past year.

Dan was awarded the Standing Ovation Award, which goes to members of our community who achieve outstanding presenter scores at COLLABORATE, RECONNECT, and INFOCUS.

2020 Distinguished Service Award Winner: Dan Holverson
Tell us a little about your company.
Clayton County Water Authority – With approximately 82,000 customer accounts, Clayton County Water Authority provides water, sewer, and stormwater services to more than a quarter of a million people throughout Clayton County and its six cities. Clayton County is situated just south of Atlanta, Georgia with Atlanta International airport located in the very northern part of the county.
What is your job title and what do you do in your role?
I am the Director of Information Technology at Clayton County Water Authority. I am responsible for JD Edwards Enterprise One, as well as Customer Information Systems and Business Intelligence, and other Utility-related Applications. Also, I have responsibility for Cloud Computing, Web applications, ESB integrations, and telecommunications.
What Oracle product do you use and what do you like most about it?
We use JD Edwards E1, version 9.2. I like that there are so many options in the product, that there can be more than one way to accomplish your objective.
How long have you been involved with Quest?
I’ve been involved with Quest for quite some time – close to twenty years.
How have you benefit from being part of Quest Oracle Community?
I’ve had the opportunity to meet many of my peers and exchange ideas with them, as well as to learn new and innovative ways of doing things within the software and my business processes.
What’s one interesting fact about you?
I’m an avid runner and had the opportunity to compete in the Boston Marathon.
Do you have any children or pets?
I have one married son. No pets at present but enjoy having a cat or two around the house.
