102470 How the Biggest Name in Bicycles is Rebuilding Business through Independent Shops: B2B Integrations

Presented at INFOCUS 19

When Huffy needed to create an eCommerce site for their new brand, Batch Bicycles, they were thinking of more than just a run of the mill implementation and integration with their existing JDE World system. Batch would be filling orders through independent bike dealers, not through a typical online transaction and shipment to the end user. When a customer finds their dream bike on Batch, the Batch site points the customer to a local, independent bike dealer (using an integration with Local.ly) where the bike will be shipped and assembled for pickup.  The integration between Magento and JDE World allows the purchase information to be captured in Magento then sent to JDE. The integration between JD Edwards and Loacal.ly allows JDE to then signal that the order should be sent to the independent bike dealer. This unique business model relies on the capabilities and tight integration of Magento & JDE World to bring Batch’s products to their customers, helping Huffy break into a new market.
