Available Postings after PI43/Tax Update 22-C:

(U.S.) 34605313 – 2022 U.S. PAYROLL TAX & LEGISLATIVE UPDATES TOO LATE FOR 22-C DELIVERY was posted by September 28, 2022, to My Oracle Support for all releases. The updates will also be included in Tax Update 22-D and HCM 9.2 Image 44. The patch provides U.S. State Tax Table updates for Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, and Seattle, Washington, and U.S. Local Tax Table updates for Kentucky, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

(U.S.) 34391396 – OREGON QUARTERLY UI WAGE FILE FORMAT EFFECTIVE Q3 2022 was posted by September 9, 2022, to My Oracle Support for all releases. The updates will also be included in Tax Update 22-D and HCM 9.2 Image 44. The patch modifies TAX860OR.SQR to report Oregon quarterly wage and tax data in the format required for submission to the new Frances online portal beginning with data submitted for the quarter ending September 30, 2022.

(U.S) PRP 34038427 was posted for Release 9.2 to My Oracle Support on August 10, 2022. The Patchset contains the following patches, which will also be included in HCM 9.2 Image 44.

  • (U.S.) 34038427 – NACHA RULE CHANGE: MICRO-ENTRIES
  • (U.S.) 34360557 – PAY INCORRECTLY DISTRIBUTED WHEN BALANCE OF NET PAY MASKED ACCOUNT IS NOT UNIQUE

(U.S.) 34038427 – NACHA RULE CHANGE: MICRO-ENTRIES 

Nacha introduced a new rule to standardize practices and formatting for Micro-Entries, which are used for prenote validation.  This change is needed to comply with the Nacha Micro-Entries Phase 1 rule effective September 16, 2022 (https://www.nacha.org/micro-entries), which separates the prenote transactions from regular direct deposits in separate batches, and updates the Company Entry Description with ACCTVERIFY.

To adopt the change, you must have implemented Patch 31085963 – Off-Cycle Direct Deposit Files: Payroll for North America feature delivered in HCM 9.2 Image 36.

(U.S.) 34360557 – PAY INCORRECTLY DISTRIBUTED WHEN BALANCE OF NET PAY MASKED ACCOUNT IS NOT UNIQUE will be included in Tax Update 22-D.  The patch updates programs to correctly distribute the deposit amount when the net pay account’s last four digits are not unique.

Special Legislative Note:

The Virginia Standard Deduction increase, effective October 1, 2022, was published too late to be included in Patch 34605313 – 2022 U.S. PAYROLL TAX & LEGISLATIVE UPDATES TOO LATE FOR 22-C DELIVERY. We will deliver the Federal/State Tax Table update in Tax Update 22-D. Please review PeopleSoft Payroll for North America Hot Topics Doc ID 1348833.1 for instructions on how to update the Federal/State Tax Table.

Changes to the PeopleSoft Application Image Delivery Schedule Beginning 2023

Beginning January 1, 2023, the PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM, and Campus Solutions applications will adopt a delivery schedule of 3 Images per year instead of 4.

Payroll for North America will deliver 4 tax updates per year instead of 5.  Tax updates will continue to be included with the PeopleSoft HCM Images except for the end of the year tax update, which is delivered using a PRP.

Quest PeopleSoft Reconnect Virtual Conference – October 10 to 13, 2022
