100790 Reducing Customizations: Our Financials 9.2/Tools 8.57 Upgrade Experience

The State of Minnesota is doing a limited upgrade of our PeopleSoft FSCM application to PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.57, going live in 2019. During the implementation phase our primary objectives were to get State of Minnesota on a path aligned with Oracle’s product roadmap, and to be able to catch up with PUM and tools limited upgrades with ease. We used some strategies and newly delivered features to ensure that minimal customizations were made to delivered objects, which meant that there was less code retrofit effort now and during future limited upgrades, hence making the application easily maintainable.

During the session we will look at how we implemented some new features delivered by PeopleSoft to reduce customizations like Event Mapping, Page and Field Configurator. We will also discuss some implementation strategies for features like PeopleSoft Fluid Workflow, Page Composer, Classic Plus styling, Accessibility, WorkCenters and Related Content.
