Hey JDE Connection listeners, Chandra and Paul here!
A few episodes ago, we introduced Shruti, Srihari, and Rohini before their trip from Bangalore to BLUEPRINT 4D. We talked about what they hoped to experience, who they wanted to meet, and what it would be like connecting with the JD Edwards community in person for the first time.
Now that they’ve made the trip and recovered from the jet lag, we wanted to hear how it all went. And honestly, hearing their reflections afterward may have been even better than the original conversation.
First Impressions from BLUEPRINT 4D
One thing all three guests talked about was the energy of the community. Shruti shared how welcoming customers and partners were throughout the conference, especially during conversations around sustainability and recent enhancements her team delivered. Hearing directly from customers who were already using those features gave her a whole new perspective on the impact their work is having.
Srihari talked about how eye-opening the SIG meetings were. Customers openly shared solutions, corrected processes, exchanged ideas, and helped each other solve problems in real time. One of his biggest takeaways was seeing how creatively customers are using orchestration enhancements, embedded widgets, and UX features to simplify daily work and improve productivity.
Rohini focused heavily on modernization and integrations. She spoke about how many organizations are operating across multiple systems and platforms, making APIs, orchestration, and seamless connectivity more important than ever. What stood out to her was how practical customers are being with AI conversations. They are not chasing hype. They are looking for realistic ways to improve operations, decision-making, and data accessibility.
Customer Conversations That Changed Perspective
One theme that kept coming up throughout the conversation was perspective. Sometimes enhancement requests or support issues do not fully make sense until you hear the customer’s broader business reality. Once you understand the operational challenges behind the request, it changes how you think about the work entirely.
That direct interaction matters. It creates empathy. It creates better solutions. And honestly, it reminds all of us why conferences like BLUEPRINT 4D are so valuable for the JD Edwards community.
The Power of Community Connection
We also learned during the episode that there are certain words used in parts of the Midwest that apparently make absolutely no sense to anyone outside the region. The reactions from our guests confirmed that immediately. Some things are probably best left regional.
This conversation was a great reminder of how passionate this community is about JD Edwards and how willing people are to help each other succeed. Shruti, Srihari, and Rohini each brought back new ideas, new perspectives, and a much deeper appreciation for the customers they support every day.
And honestly, that is exactly what these events are all about.
Until next time, let’s keep learning, sharing, and most importantly, laughing together.
Toodles!
