Hosted by Chandra Wobschall and Paul Houtkooper

Hello JDE Connection listeners — Chandra here, and it’s just me this week.

Unfortunately, Paul has been under the weather the past couple of weeks and hasn’t quite kicked it yet, so we decided to give him the week off. That means I’m flying solo for this episode — and yes, he still technically retains the “with me most weeks” title.

In the meantime, I wanted to take a few minutes to highlight some important upcoming Quest events happening over the next two weeks.

Make Sure You’re Signed Up for SIGs

If you haven’t already done so, I strongly encourage you to sign up for the Quest Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

SIGs typically meet once a month and cover focused areas like Financials, HCM, Tech, etc.

Sometimes topics overlap, and sometimes they’re very specific to a functional area — but either way, SIGs are a great way to connect with peers, ask questions, share challenges, and stay informed between conferences.

You can head over to questoraclecommunity.org/events, apply the JD Edwards filter, and see what’s coming up.

Next Week: JD Edwards Game Changers

The week of February 23rd brings one of my favorite online events of the year — JD Edwards Game Changers. If you haven’t registered yet, it’s free and absolutely worth your time!

Each day has a focused theme:

Monday – Development, Extensibility & Low Code / No Code

The week kicks off with Srihari Oruganti and Haiyan Wang talking about rapid innovation in JD Edwards. There are also partner sessions from K-Rise, Syntax, and others.

If you’re thinking about efficiency and agility, this is a strong start to the week.

Tuesday – System Administration & Security

Tuesday kicks off with Clayton Seeley diving into the latest advancements in JD Edwards architecture, security frameworks, and 64-bit performance. There’s also a session from All Out Security and a System Administration roundtable facilitated by the Tech SIG.

If you care about keeping your environment secure and future-ready, this is your day.

Wednesday – Upgrades & Modernization

Clayton returns to lead Wednesday’s conversation where he talks Upgrades & Modernization and how we can stay ahead of the curve with Release 26 and the latest modernization capabilities. There are other sessions from Broadpin, Circular Edge, and roundtables facilitated by the Tech and M&D/CAM SIGs.

If you’ve ever asked, “How do we stay current without disrupting the business?”, this is the day to attend.

Thursday – Automation, Orchestration & Integration

Thursday wraps things up with Nicole Laurent and Haiyan Wang helping us uncover the power of orchestration, workflow automation, and intelligent reporting in driving smarter business processes. Other sessions by K-Rise, Pumasight, and ERP Suites cap off Thursday’s focus of automation, orchestration, and integrations.

If automation is on your roadmap (and let’s be honest — it probably is), this is a strong close to the week.

Additional Quest Webinars Next Week

Also during Game Changers week:

It’s a packed couple of weeks, so now’s the time to check your calendar.

Midwesternism of the Week

This week’s Midwesternism involves a certain northern state, some very large winter equipment, and an annual tradition that proves creativity thrives even when temperatures don’t.

Let’s just say… puns were involved. And yes, I participated.

Until next time, let’s keep learning, sharing, and most importantly, laughing together.

Toodles!
