Hey there, JDE Connection fam!

Welcome back to another exciting episode of the JDE Connection podcast, where we dive deep into all things JD Edwards with your hosts, Chandra and Paul.

In this week’s episode, we had the pleasure of chatting with Andrew Ostdiek, a senior business analyst at JF Shea Company, and let us tell you, it was a blast!

Right from the get-go, Andrew brought the energy, and despite Chandra feeling a bit under the weather with her Harley voice, the conversation was nothing short of lively.

We kicked things off with a bit of Midwestern charm, sharing anecdotes about the infamous “Midwestern goodbye.” If you’re not familiar with it, think prolonged farewells that can last longer than a sitcom episode! Andrew, being a fellow Midwesterner, was right at home with our banter.

Then, we got down to business, getting to know Andrew and his role at JF Shea Company. Andrew shared insights into his daily routine, which involves a healthy mix of production support, project management, and serving as a change leader.

What really stood out was Andrew’s passion for leveraging new tools and functionalities within JD Edwards to drive change within his organization. Andrew’s enthusiasm was contagious and it was inspiring to hear how he’s not just solving problems but actively seeking out ways to enhance user experiences and streamline processes.

But it wasn’t just about the technical stuff. Andrew emphasized the importance of empathy in his role, recognizing that behind every system issue or process improvement request, there’s a person whose job and identity may be affected. His approach to active listening and engaging with users reflects a deep understanding of the human side of technology.

And let’s not forget the lighter moments! From Andrew’s infectious energy to our playful banter about sports allegiances (Go Packers!), it was a podcast episode filled with laughter and camaraderie.

So, to all our listeners out there, remember Andrew’s words: embrace change, stay curious, and above all, approach every interaction with empathy.

Until next time, stay funky and tech-savvy, folks!
