Changing the Customization Game with the JD Edwards Extensibility Framework
Everybody needs to make some changes to the software sometime. After all, agility and adaptability have been hallmarks of the JD Edwards product for decades. Modifications to application forms, showing or hiding fields, adding columns to grids, introducing some custom business logic—these are all improvements that keep users efficient and productive and keep the software effective in a changing world. But a six-month development project is too long, so let’s change the rules. Changes that require technical programming or development skills are too difficult, so let’s change the rules. Sometimes we can’t wait days or weeks for package builds and deployments, so let’s change the rules. The JD Edwards extensibility framework changes the game by enabling rapid, agile change and reducing the technical complexity of effecting that change.
