PCL Construction embarked on an ambitious JD Edwards transformation project—consolidating 26 legacy JDE instances, spanning over 30 years, into a single, cloud-based global ERP platform. PCL executed a two-phase strategy: first migrating to the Syntax Cloud, then consolidating into a unified instance on Microsoft Azure. The scope included unifying over 370 financial companies, standardizing 150,000 assets, and reducing address book records from 750,000 to just 60,000 through rigorous deduplication. Core modules such as Finance, HCM, Supply Chain, Asset, and Project Management were harmonized to support global operations and compliance across multiple currencies and jurisdictions. This session will share key lessons learned, the phased technical approach, historical data strategies, and the business impacts of this effort—including improved agility, reduced overhead, and a modern ERP foundation ready for future innovation.

To automate the start/stop of Oracle WLS managed instances like HTML,BSSV, RTE, AIS using JDE UBE which can be placed on Scheduler.
1. Create an Orchestration using REST API and call Orchestration using B98ORCH function. Oracle has provided Server Manager REST APIs to stop/start the instance such as startinstance, stopinstance. Either of the REST API's will be triggered using orchestration.
2. Used dedicated AIS instance to run the start-stop orchestration
3. Created softcoding recoding for this new AIS instance mapped to user responsible for executing the UBE in scheduler for that environment.
4. New UBE calls the B98ORCH which in turn checks the soft coding record and invokes the orchestration on that dedicated AIS instance both for stopping as well as starting the WLS instances
5. Challenges faced: Cross environment mappings to stop PD servers from Non PD instances and sleep times between restarts of each server
6.Benefits: Eliminated manual intervention/errors in stop and start of servers and automation allowed to run the restarts during non business hours.

At NOV, most operations follow an approval process for advancing operational and payment transactions.
NOV has faced difficulties obtaining physical approvals internally and from customers.
For example, service technicians must secure internal supervisor approval before service and customer approval upon completion to process payment. Dependence on physical documents and signatures causes payment delays.
If technicians could acquire customer signatures electronically, the process would be streamlined, improving cash collections. JDE offers E-Signature functionality, but only on Apple iPads. This limitation requires technicians to use the latest iPad model—a substantial investment.
To address this, Birlasoft developed a practical solution for NOV that integrates JDE with DocuSign using Orchestrator to update signature or approval status.
The new functionality enables collection of electronic signatures on JDE PDF documents in two ways:
Sending documents directly to a customer’s email (from the JDE address book) for E-signing.
Allowing field technicians to access the PDF on their device and capture the customer’s signature on-site.
Advantages of E-Signature Functionality:
• Send, sign, track, and manage documents electronically within JDE.
• Works on any device: laptop, desktop, tablet, or mobile phone.
• Improves cash collections by accelerating payments.

Join Magic Software and MacLean-Fogg as they share how a fully automated onboarding solution was implemented using the Magic xpi Integration Platform to connect key enterprise systems: Dayforce HCM, Microsoft Active Directory, and JD Edwards (JDE).
The goal was to eliminate manual data entry, reduce delays, and ensure data consistency during the onboarding process. By leveraging Magic xpi’s low-code, event-driven architecture, the team built real-time integrations that streamlined operations and enforced compliance.
Key takeaways will include:
• Automated provisioning of Active Directory accounts with correct group memberships based on new hire events in Dayforce.
• Synchronized employee record creation and job data updates in JDE with real-time accuracy.
• Bi-directional data validation to ensure consistency and alignment with company policies.
• Scalable, error-tolerant architecture that reduced onboarding cycle time by over 50%.
This session highlights how integration platforms like Magic xpi can modernize legacy processes, improve data accuracy and security, and boost overall enterprise agility.

“Let’s Build Inte-Greations with the Orchestrator!” will focus on the technical mechanics of building robust integrations using JD Edwards Orchestrator Studio. Participants will start by constructing orchestrations that call external REST APIs, parse JSON responses, and map data to JDE inputs using service requests and data requests. Along the way, we’ll explore key Orchestrator components like transformations, connectors, rules, and service requests to make a great integration.
The session emphasizes practical learning: chaining orchestration steps, handling errors gracefully, and working with complex data structures such as arrays and nested inputs. Participants will build a complete integration flow—from trigger to final JDE update—using real-world examples. Whether you're new to the Orchestrator or looking to sharpen your integration skills, this session is a deep dive into the nuts and bolts of orchestrated automation inside the JD Edwards ecosystem.
