Presented at Quest Experience Week (QXW) - Cloud Day

As a long-time PeopleSoft customer, you are aware of the time commitment required to maintain your on-premise PeopleSoft system, but how would all that change if your organization were to transition to Oracle Cloud HCM? In this session, we will walk you through the ‘day in the life’ of both a technical and functional person so you understand how the commitment to supporting the system is similar and different from that of your PeopleSoft system. We will cover what configuration options you have at your disposal, what capabilities you will need to set up, and what type of training you and your users will need. To do this, we will touch on some important areas of Oracle Cloud HCM including approvals and notifications, mobile capabilities, the Experience Design Studio, and personalization and implementation options.

PeopleSoft customers have spent years maintaining, cleaning, and updating their HCM data to ensure that PeopleSoft accurately represents their system of record. In this session, we will review the process and best practices for migrating your data from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud HCM, whether you do it yourself or with assistance. We will review the data model at a high level so you understand the data structure for the core HR fields, as well as the organization and person hierarchy. We will discuss proven strategies for data migration and mapping that have been successful with other PeopleSoft customers.

End users and business analysts alike are responsible for correcting a wide array of business exceptions. Identifying them in a timely manner though can be a challenging prospect. PeopleSoft's Personalized Analytics Notifications feature is a welcomed addition, providing a solution that is easily configured without the need for technical assistance. Anyone with a decent grasp of PS Query and Pivot Grids can add intelligent notifications to reduce response times to exceptions and increase efficiency in business processes.

In this session, we will walk through adding a Personalized Analytics Notification (PAN) to an existing Pivot Grid. We will then showcase a real-world application explaining how the tool can help not only end users, but teams supporting the system itself, all without requiring technical intervention.
