Strategy Update – Russell Broom, Vice President of Strategy & Development

2025 is a wrap! The HCM team delivered over 111 product features, implemented 63 customer ideas, and delivered over 300 legislative updates in 2025. A few of the highlights of 2025 are:

The PeopleSoft Landing Page which showcases how PeopleSoft is redefining and reimagining the user experience for our customers in PeopleSoft once you upgrade to PeopleTools 8.62.
Fluid US Paycheck Modelling which highlights our new, modern user interface paradigm in self service
Notification Publisher framework which allows you to publish important messages or content to your users either for display on the landing page or through the traditional channels such as email, in-app notifications within PeopleSoft, or through text/SMS messages
Customization Insights which gives organizations a 360 degree of their technical debt that provides more visibility to customizations and the impact they may have on applying features or maintenance to your application once you upgrade to PeopleTools 8.62
Smart Prompts/Drop Downs which provides quicker access to most frequently used values in the HCM, ELM, and CRM application for literally thousands of input fields once you upgrade to PeopleTools 8.62

Looking forward, a few features you can look forward to are:

Adoption of the Landing Page experience for other areas such as Global Payroll localizations, US Federal, Team Time, and the Applicant who is searching or applying for a job
New Self Service capabilities for Citizenship/Visas/Passports, Prior Work Experience, US Federal, and much more
Modernization of the Manage Hires Process
Expanded WorkCenter capabilities such as adoption of Work Management, embedded Insights to assist users with My Work items, and new WorkCenters for product areas such as Absence Management, US Federal, HR, and more

Focus Group Updates:

Human Resources – Focus Group met in December to see a demo of the Workcenter functionality and provide input & requirements for the new HR Workcenter feature.
Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) – Reviewed the latest image features and discussed new features proposed for the coming year. The focus group had open discussion around enhancements on the idea space as well as the new digital badging feature coming in PeopleSoft HCM.
Insights – The Insights Workgroup’s quarterly meeting was held in November. Customers provided an update of their latest Insight Dashboards and new custom visualizations. We are looking to add a few more customers who have deployed Insights. This includes both HCM and FSCM customers. Please contact Tammy.boyles@oracle.com if interested.
US Federal – Focus Group met in December to discuss the US Federal Landing Page, Personnel Actions WorkCenter, Personnel Actions Insights, and gaps in US Federal functionality. Please contact venkatesh.kotikalapudi@oracle.com if interested

Australia – Payday Superannuation Effective July 01, 2026
New Zealand – Holidays Act Reform – the new “Employment Leave Act”: What’s Changing and What It Means for You?
Mexico – The Mexican Tax Authority (SAT) has published a new version of the Payroll CFDI Complement 1.2, effective in 2026
Brazil – Updates are now available regarding changes to Income Tax calculation in accordance with Law No. 15,270, of 26, 2025, effective from January 1, 2026.
Australia – ATO has announced changes to Super Entitlement Tuple reporting arising from the Payday Super legislation, effective 1 July 2026
