PeopleSoft FSCM Newsletter June 2024

Hello PeopleSoft FSCM Community,

It was fantastic seeing many of you at the Quest BLUEPRINT 4D 2024 in Dallas last month.  FSCM Product teams presented at 13 sessions that included product roadmaps, customer success stories, and roundtable discussions.  We value all the feedback we got from the attendees – it was absolutely inspiring to hear your innovative ideas and suggestions on product enhancements.  You can review the content through the Quest Website.  A special Thank You to our customers who continue to deploy new features and functionality.

  • Project Costing – The focus group met in April to discuss enhancements to rate sets and pricing that would allow use of partial wildcards as criteria and the ability to exclude transactions from pricing.  These enhancements will significantly reduce the number of rows entered in rate set criteria if you have exceptions to account for.  The focus group will meet in July to review changes to Project Asset Capitalization. If you are interested in joining, please contact [email protected].
  • Grants and Contracts – The focus group met in April to review a demo of the Contract and Award Update Wizard and the Award Portal Dashboard.  The Update Wizard is a guided process that will provide update en masse capability for contract administrator, billing specialist, principal investigator and other information on the award and contract.  The Award Portal will provide grants customers a comprehensive view of their awards including both financial and non-financial information.  Budget, cost, and billing information in addition to status of milestones, recent modifications, award team assignments and proposals in progress are just a few items planned for this Insights dashboard.
  • Supplier Contract Management – Focus Group met on June 12 to discuss potential enhancements to improve the visibility of approvals and compliance issues.
  • eProcurement – Focus group met in May and June to discuss the ability to Receive for Other Requesters and Rush Orders which is a way to indicate a Rush Requisition and expedite it through approvals. We are planning to have two additional focus groups in June and July to cover the planned capability of a Create ‘Bill Only Requisition API’ which will allow feeds from an EHR system, Supplier Sales Order or GHX. The second will be discussing the different ways to bring external punchout Items into ePro and be available for searching so that external catalog Items will be visible in the ePo search.

***Important Note*** Focus Groups are open to all customers; calls are typically once a month for an hour or as needed.  Your organization needs to have a current CPCA (customer participation confidentiality agreement) since Oracle discloses future design and prototypes.
