Shortly after implementation of Supplier Contract Management, business users within the organization expressed challenges using the system including concerns from Contract Managers focusing their attention on tedious administrative tasks and performing duplicate data-entry as well as contract requesters experiencing difficulties searching for/tracking the status of their contracts in the system. This presentation will focus on Vidant Health’s creative solution for developing and deploying a bolt-on contract request intake page to improve the entry, processing, and visibility of contracts within the system. The new process centralizes all contract requester functions to a single page, serving as a one-stop-shop for end-users and introduces a multitude of efficiencies within the contracting process – eliminating the need for duplicate data-entry, automating creation of Procurement Contract and Supplier Contract records, and simplifying the process of tracking contracts/contract status.
