Reminder:  PeopleSoft Payroll for North America will only deliver four Tax Updates a year.

Special PeopleSoft Release Patchset (PRP) Concept for Patches After 24-D and Before 25-A

Payroll for North America development will post the PeopleSoft Release Patchset (PRP) for Release 9.2 with multiple patches in groups after Tax Update 24-D to lessen the burden of applying a high volume of patchsets during year-end. We will use the HCM Legislative Patchset concept to group multiple patches in a PRP for your organization to apply to the most recently released PeopleSoft Update Image.

These are the Payroll for North America PRPs with multiple patches in a group which are currently targeted for posting after Tax Update 24-D:

• PRP 37316493 – PNA PATCHSET AFTER TAX UPDATE 24-D – PART ONE – Targeted posting date by December 6, 2024
• PRP 37316507 – PNA PATCHSET AFTER TAX UPDATE 24-D – PART TWO – Targeted posting date by December 13, 2024
• PRP 37316517 – PNA PATCHSET AFTER TAX UPDATE 24-D – PART THREE – Targeted posting date by December 20, 2024

If we need further PRPs with multiple patches in a group, we will follow the same naming convention through January 2025 until Tax Update 25-A posts.

Legislative Update Error

Connecticut Exemptions Amounts Missing after Tax Update 24-D Update

The U.S. tax script delivered with Tax Update 24-D included a new row (Effective Date = 01/01/2025) to update the State Tax Table entry for Connecticut with the increase in the Connecticut state minimum hourly wage from $15.69 to $16.35.  This new row dated 01/01/2025 failed to include values on four pages of the State Tax Table entry (CT Exemptions, CT Credits, CT Phase Out, and CT Recapture) which are required to correctly calculate Connecticut withholding tax amounts.

To resolve this error, customers should manually delete the row with Effective Date = 01/01/2025 in the State Tax Table entry for State = CT.  A corrected table update will be included in the script delivered with the special posting of PRP 37236063 – 2025 U.S. PAYROLL TAX & LEGISLATIVE ITEMS TOO LATE FOR 24-D DELIVERY (targeted for posting by December 20, 2024).
