P-052702: Build Orchestration for Standard EDI 850 Inbound Purchase Order Processing

This presentation will demonstrate the orchestration design to execute standard EDI 850 inbound purchase order processing that transforms flat files (X12 format) from trading partners into inbound orders in the F47* tables. It will walk through a real-world architecture that integrates a third-party integration platform with standard JD Edwards inbound processing, enabling secure file exchange, structured file movement, and automated sequential processing using orchestration. Attendees will learn the critical design components required for a stable solution, including file path configuration, folder and directory structuring, and text file handling techniques. The session will also highlight how to manage end-to-end file lifecycle operations, such as successful file archiving with timestamps and error file segregation for troubleshooting and remediation. In addition, it will cover how automated notifications improve operational visibility by alerting key stakeholders when files are missing, successfully processed, or require error resolution. By the end of this session, participants will understand how to avoid common pitfalls in EDI inbound processing and build a reliable orchestration that ensures accurate and traceable order creation in JD Edwards.
