This session reframes the Best-of-Breed vs. native debate for a modern IT landscape — where security re-certification, cloud audits, and vendor risk reviews have raised the stakes far beyond what they were a decade ago. We’ll cover what “native” actually means at a technical level, how to evaluate whether a maintenance solution is truly part of your ERP or just adjacent to it, and why that distinction matters more now than ever for asset-intensive organizations running JD Edwards — drawing on real examples, including JD Edwards’ own native CAM Performance Plus module, to illustrate what a fully embedded architecture looks like in practice.
