Non-Resident Alien processing in Peoplesoft HCM can be confusing and intimidating.  We will review the delivered setup of tax treaties, how (and why) to set up a “non-treaty” treaty, and how to configure employee Federal Tax Data. We’ll break down the dates and flags under Tax Treaty/Non-Resident Data and how to enter data here correctly. We’ll also cover how earnings codes and deduction codes can be configured to take non-resident alien processing into account. Finally, we will discuss reports the University of Massachusetts has created to monitor and track any issues for non-resident alien employees.
