RMAN as most know it, is one of the most important utilities in a DBAs arsenal. In earlier releases it is fair to say that occasionally it did create havoc and some DBA’s were afraid to use it. Is it too complex? “Backup database” – does not look to complex does it? In Oracle Database 12c, Multitenant was introduced and RMAN received a lot of attention with exciting new options. From full to partial backups, using cumulative or differential incremental backups, image copies or backup sets, in this session we will demonstrate how you can use RMAN to help protect your data as well as manage backup and recovery of your Oracle Database 12c Multitenant environment – including backups in cloud based solutions.
