While finance and accounting users love JD Edwards' flexibility and ease-of-use, utilizing JDE out-of-the-box reporting tools often brings a long list of challenges such as delayed close cycles and never-ending report requests for IT. And for budgeting and planning, most organizations are still managing static spreadsheets, causing a lack of control when multiple stakeholders get involved with the planning process.
If these are familiar reporting and planning challenges that your finance team is wrestling with, look to the future with insightsoftware as we help optimize the Office of the CFO with our suite of reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting tools.
Objectives
Learn how finance professionals can create live, drillable reports for any JD Edwards module
Discuss ways you can take control of planning processes with more participants and shorter cycles
Discover how you can streamline reporting from multiple data sources to uncover new insights

Like most companies, Hines' IT infrastructure substantially grew and became more complex as the business demands evolved. As this occurred it became apparent that the Hines IT infrastructure team was spending a greater amount of time on low value add tasks which was limiting the time they had to focus on Hine’s key business initiatives. Based on these factors and an upcoming hardware refresh Hines decided to evaluate moving to the Cloud and engaging a partner to support the daily operational tasks. In this session we will explore the process Hines went through in evaluating solutions, lessons learned from the project, how Denovo and Hines executed the migration which concluded with Hines closing their data center , and the value this has brought to Hines.
Objectives
Lessons learned through the evaluation and implementation of Cloud technologies
Looking forward - the best is yet to come in the Cloud

The auditors demand a great deal these days, asking continuous questions about access, but also demanding new controls.
This is not just an issue for public companies; all mid-market JDE users will have to come to terms with managing Periodic Access Reviews (or User Certification). But these processes can create a huge administrative overhead, which Regency Centers were determined to automate.
Secondly the business was very keen to put focus on monitoring for unauthorized changes to master data on their E1 system. Many people are simply not aware of the dangers, but users who can access the batch security table can modify processes and even enable themselves self-approving batches.
The IT team from Regency will present on how they put in controls in these two areas, which save considerable amounts of time (and therefore money), and also significantly reduce fraud risks.
Objectives
Learn how to automate Periodic Access Reviews in order to save time and money
Learn how to audit changes to key tables in order to catch fraudulent activity
