PeopleSoft chatbots enter the digital assistant scene and add accessibility to existing PeopleSoft business applications while modernizing the user experience. To get started with PeopleSoft chatbots, customers need an understanding of not only the current and projected capabilities of chatbots but how digital assistants operate within the PeopleSoft framework. Samidha Rege and Robbin Velayedam of Oracle provided foundational information to get your organization started using PeopleSoft chatbots.

In PeopleSoft HCM, the PeopleSoft Business Partners feature lets you define specific people in your organization to serve as Human Resources liaisons for groups of employees. You can define groups by work location, business unit, department, job, last name, or any other criteria. The liaisons, or business partners, can be HR generalists or specialists like payroll business partners, benefits business partners, etc. If you have a shared HR service center model, you can define your organization's HR representatives and define the employees they serve.

At RECONNECT 19, Clint Jacobs from Intermountain Healthcare, presented how to make the Supplier Contracts WorkCenter a powerful tool for end users and use pagelets to get key performance indicators (KPIs) in front of them in just a few clicks.

Aaron Engelsrud, Senior PeopleSoft System Administrator at Capella University, presented a technical and functional primer for PeopleSoft Cloud Manager. His presentation included a detailed step-by-step introduction to the installation of PeopleSoft Cloud Manager on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, installation and configuration overview, and a hands-on demonstration of PeopleSoft Cloud Manager.

The wide adoption of mobile access and shifting employee demographics are compelling organizations to engage with their changing employee workforce using emerging technologies. Chatbots can help organizations turn repetitive, transactional requests and inquiries into natural, conversation-like interactions using voice or text. The PeopleSoft Human Capital Management Absence Management chatbot, Absence Assistant, allows employees to take this approach when requesting absences, viewing balances, and more.

At COLLABORATE 19, Matthew Haavisto and Deepankar Narayanan, members of the Oracle PeopleTools team, spoke about recent enhancements to PeopleSoft analytics and how you can leverage them in your organization. The pair discussed thresholds and notifications, new features for pivot grids, adding analytics to the navigation bar, homepage, and dashboard, Kibana visualizations, and more.

PeopleSoft HCM Update Image 31 was recently released and is jam-packed with new functionality and enhancements. Many of these enhancements came from customer suggestions in the Community Idea Spaces on My Oracle Support.
