Presented by:
Sunil Sarode, United Nations

Abstract:

UN Inspira is the United Nations’ enterprise talent management and recruitment platform, used by the UN Secretariat and several of its entities. Built on Oracle PeopleSoft, a widely adopted Human Capital Management (HCM) suite, Inspira supports over 6.6 million users and processes more than 500,000 job applications annually. Aligned with the goal of achieving 30% AI adoption in key HR processes by 2026, Inspira has already begun integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce bias, and improve overall user experience. One such innovation is a state-of-the-art, in-house AI solution for resume screening, developed with a unique human-in-the-loop approach. This solution is currently being piloted across the organization, having processed over 220,000 resumes across 2,500+ job openings. Fully integrated with PeopleSoft, it provides seamless access and decision support for recruiters. Looking ahead, we are pioneering a Generative AI-based user interface that will transform how users interact with the PeopleSoft system. Imagine typing: •“Download the performance review for Nancy Ford” •“Who’s due for a promotion review this quarter?” and the system understands and responds with no friction, just natural, intelligent interaction. This session will explore how Generative AI can elevate the PeopleSoft experience. It will showcase practical examples, architectural approaches, and design principles for integrating GenAI with PeopleSoft. It’s not about replacing the system it’s about reimagining the user experience and empowering HR teams to work smarter, faster, and more intuitively.
