       Upcoming User Groups/Webinars/Conferences:

Strategy Spotlight – As we head into the second half of 2023, I would like you to be aware of a few important events that allow us to come together.  First, we are planning a virtual PeopleSoft Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meeting Aug 22 – 24.  CAB participation is by invite only.  If you are interested in joining the PeopleSoft CAB, you can review the membership guidelines and application process here.  Second, Oracle Cloud World is taking place in Las Vegas, Sept 18 – 21.  This is Oracle’s premier Cloud technology conference with over 1,000 sessions, including cloud sessions specifically for PeopleSoft customers.  Read my blog on Oracle Cloud World here. If you plan on attending Oracle Cloud World and would like to meet up, feel free to reach out to me @ [email protected].  Last but not least is PeopleSoft RECONNECT Deep Dive taking place virtually Oct 24 – 26.  As with previous RECONNECT conferences, attendees can expect deep dive, best practice and education sessions.  The entire PeopleSoft Strategy team will be there along with select Product Managers, Developers, Support Analysts, and PeopleSoft Leadership.  Registration begins Aug 21st.  Hope to see you there!

Focus Group Updates:   Click on the link to find a focus group to join

  • Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) – With image 23 coming out July 28 we are looking at new features and functionality for our next image 24.  We have started on the design for mandatory programs and are following that up with a new design for certification statuses and sub-status.  We will be reviewing designs and follow-up conversations in our August focus group meeting.
  • Benefits Focus Group continues to discuss the needed reactions to SECURE 2.0. All customers are encouraged to read the latest blog on SECURE 2.0 and to subscribe to our blogs to keep up to date about this important legislation.
  • PeopleSoft Insights Workgroup – Focus Group saw a demo from Bupa – British United Provident Association Limited and we had a discussion around the changes to Open Search.
  • Performance Management – With the upcoming release of fluid business objectives, the team has started working on the much-anticipated Recognition enhancement.  The next meeting to review designs will be on July 27th.
  • Tuition Reimbursement – The inaugural meeting of this focus group happened in May; we will be bringing this working group together quarterly with the next scheduled meeting occurring on August 10th.  We will review high level requirements and get feedback regarding approvals.  If you would like to be a part, please let Jeremy Pelley know at [email protected]

 ***Important Note*** Focus Groups are open to all customers, calls are typically once a month for an hour or as needed.  Your organization needs to have a current CPCA (customer participation confidentiality agreement) since Oracle discloses future design and prototypes.

  • United States – Form I-9 is expiring this October. The Department of Homeland Security has announced significant changes to the form but has yet to release a finalized form.  They did announce that organizations should continue to use the expired form until a new form is released.
  • United States – Update for PeopleSoft Human Resources & Recruiting – Form 503 (voluntary self-identification for disability) The PeopleSoft Release Patchset has been posted.  You need to use the new form by July 25, 2023.
  • United States – On December 29, 2022 the SECURE 2.0 Act was signed into law by President Biden as part of the Consolidate Appropriations Act of 2023 (HR 2617).  It contains 92 provisions affecting United States retirement savings plans. Here is a link to the current Position Statement and the Planned Features and Enhancement Page which outlines our current roadmap.
  • Australia – The Government of Tasmania, South Australia and Queensland announced the 2023-24 budget
