The Covid-19 pandemic created challenges for virtually everyone in corporate America. Keeping the State of Indiana’s PeopleSoft Financials users trained was no exception. In February 2020 (only days prior to the coronavirus becoming a part of our collective vocabulary), I kicked off a Statewide project to update our training documentation, which garnered not only the *attention* of our elected officials, but also their buy-in and support. Of note, this occurred after determining that many training materials hadn’t been updated since the 2009 implementation of PeopleSoft with the State of Indiana, and now, time was of the essence. Fast forward to the project kick-off session, where I hosted approximately 75 stakeholders only days prior to the majority of employees ‘going remote’. We knew the importance of not only updating the Instructor-Led Training (ILT) materials to account for PUM / version changes but also acknowledging the criticality of migrating the content to a Computer-Based Training (CBT) format. The pandemic gave us further justification to push this project to the front burner in our stakeholders’ respective workloads and get this information to our approximately 8,000 impacted PeopleSoft Financials users. In this session, we will discuss how we accomplished this with stakeholders that were almost 100% remote, we’ll also focus on the importance of migrating from ILT to CBT format and why, even post-pandemic, this remains the best methodology for training our PeopleSoft Financials end users.

PeopleSoft’s strength lies in its ability to be tailored to an organization’s requirements, but extensive customizations often increase upgrade complexity, leading to higher costs and longer timelines. Tools such as Page Field Configurator, Event Mapping, Application Engine Plug-ins, Page Composer, and Drop Zones minimize or eliminate the need for traditional customizations, streamlining maintenance and upgrades. By utilizing these tools, organizations can meet their unique needs with little to no custom coding, making future upgrades simpler and reducing long-term maintenance costs.

Delivering changes in JD Edwards with speed and confidence requires more than manual test scripts and spreadsheets. Modern JDE organizations are looking for automated, repeatable testing that fits inside their existing Oracle stack, not another external tool. In this session, we demonstrate a JDE-native test automation platform that uses Orchestrator, APEX, and Oracle Visual Builder to automate end-to-end business process testing, including real test evidence PDF creation and real-time dashboards. The next step: AI-assisted testing. We show how AI is used to enhance testing capability by: •Automatically generating test data and input variations •Recommending test cases based on JDE usage patterns and change impact •Identifying high-risk areas for regression testing •Assisting with test documentation and exception explanation Combined, these capabilities help teams accelerate testing, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability before ESUs, upgrades, and deployments, all inside the Oracle ecosystem. We will walk through a real Procure-to-Pay scenario (vendor → PO → receipt → match → voucher), demonstrating automated testing orchestration from start to finish. Outcome: Attendees leave with a blueprint for implementing AI-enhanced, JDE-native test automation that reduces upgrade pressure, increases quality, and supports continuous improvement — without adding external tools or complexity.
