As organizations continue to balance cloud adoption with existing on-premise investments, the ability to seamlessly connect applications, and data has become essential. Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) provides a unified, low-code platform to connect, extend, and modernize enterprise environments spanning cloud and on-premise systems, including Oracle SaaS applications, JD Edwards, and PeopleSoft. This session provides a high-level overview of Oracle Integration Cloud, highlighting its core architecture, key capabilities, and its role in a modern integration strategy. Attendees will learn how OIC enables secure, scalable integrations across diverse application landscapes while supporting incremental modernization rather than disruptive replacement. The session also covers integration best practices, including design principles, performance considerations, security, error handling, and operational monitoring. Through practical examples and lessons learned, this session demonstrates how organizations can leverage OIC to extend the value of existing applications, reduce integration complexity, and establish a flexible foundation for future digital initiatives. Learning Objectives - By the end of this session, attendees will be able to: 1.Understand the core capabilities and architecture of Oracle Integration Cloud and how it supports hybrid integration across cloud and on-premise environments. 2.Identify integration best practices for building secure, scalable, and supportable integrations using OIC. 3.Recognize common integration patterns and considerations when working with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and Oracle SaaS applications.

Staying current with PeopleSoft PUM images and Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) is essential, but limited resources, too many environments, and too little time make it hard. Without a clear plan, updates can cause downtime, missed features, and risk. This session shares tactics to streamline your updates: manage change packages, structure testing, and safely minimize downtime. Drawing on years of experience across hundreds of environments—including complex efforts with a dozen+ PUMs—we’ll share a refined playbook that delivers updates as fast as 30 minutes, averaging about 4 hours. You’ll leave with an adaptable framework to reduce risk, shorten windows, and keep teams current without burnout—plus practical tools you can apply immediately, whether you’re handling quarterly updates or simply want a better process.

The Covid-19 pandemic created challenges for virtually everyone in corporate America. Keeping the State of Indiana’s PeopleSoft Financials users trained was no exception. In February 2020 (only days prior to the coronavirus becoming a part of our collective vocabulary), I kicked off a Statewide project to update our training documentation, which garnered not only the *attention* of our elected officials, but also their buy-in and support. Of note, this occurred after determining that many training materials hadn’t been updated since the 2009 implementation of PeopleSoft with the State of Indiana, and now, time was of the essence. Fast forward to the project kick-off session, where I hosted approximately 75 stakeholders only days prior to the majority of employees ‘going remote’. We knew the importance of not only updating the Instructor-Led Training (ILT) materials to account for PUM / version changes but also acknowledging the criticality of migrating the content to a Computer-Based Training (CBT) format. The pandemic gave us further justification to push this project to the front burner in our stakeholders’ respective workloads and get this information to our approximately 8,000 impacted PeopleSoft Financials users. In this session, we will discuss how we accomplished this with stakeholders that were almost 100% remote, we’ll also focus on the importance of migrating from ILT to CBT format and why, even post-pandemic, this remains the best methodology for training our PeopleSoft Financials end users.
