P-052757: Kill the Chaos: A No-Nonsense JDE Security Overhaul: How we rebuilt JDE security with cleaner roles, stronger controls, and fewer surprises

This session was presented at INFOCUS 2026.

Security in JDE EnterpriseOne is often something organizations inherit rather than design. Over time, role sprawl, stale user accounts, and a single security environment shared across development and production create risk that quietly compounds until an audit or incident forces the conversation. This session walks through Prinova’s JDE security project: the decision to implement separate production and non-production security environments, what it actually takes to get there technically, and how to manage the promotion process without breaking things along the way. We'll also cover the harder, less glamorous work of role rationalization, access cleanup, and automating the identification and removal of inactive users using JDE's own toolset. Attendees will leave with a realistic picture of scope, practical implementation considerations, and hard-won lessons that apply whether you're starting a similar project or trying to close gaps in an existing environment. Intended audience: JDE system administrators, IT security and compliance professionals, and IT managers responsible for ERP access governance.

This session is eligible for the following CPE certification: NASBA
