Participants will learn the methodology and concepts used in designing and developing an Approval Framework process. We will first understand how you can utilize and set up the delivered approval processes, and then understand how to develop an approval process from scratch including developing an approval page, corresponding records, component, PeopleCode and SQL Object. The online configuration will include the Transaction Registry, Transaction Configuration, Approval Process Setup which includes Stages, Paths, and Steps for the recipients.

This session introduces you to Oracle's PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface and how to get started using it. This session covers the purpose and benefits of the Fluid User Interface, the Fluid User experience features, and how to navigate in the Fluid User Interface. In this session, we also discuss the administration and development effort in deploying a Fluid User Interface and you learn about the Fluid UI enhancements in PeopleTools 8.56.

In 1996, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) implemented HCM. A few years later, they added FSCM to their portfolio. Since that time, the company has received recognition as a PeopleSoft Innovator in the areas of configuration, Selective Adoption, and user experience. To help other organizations find success with HCM and FSCM, Daniel Rech, Director of Information Systems for BIDMC, recently shared a presentation on his company’s journey Fluid User Interface.

Matthew Haavisto, Product Management Director, wrote a blog about the value of personalized analytic notifications. The concept of thresholds has been available in PeopleSoft a while now, but combining thresholds with notifications and making them personalizable by end users provides additional power and value that many people may not initially recognize.

An Oracle YouTube video provided an overview of PeopleSoft Fluid Delegations. Delegations give users the ability to have someone else act on their behalf to initiate or approve a PeopleSoft transaction. Delegations are available for both Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) users.

As part of the PeopleSoft HCM Configuration Series, Hannah Gacey and Mike Betschart from King County spoke about King County’s integrated release set and approach to customization management. In 2015, King County adopted a release set delivery strategy to align human capital management (HCM) system updates with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) Image releases. This strategy has been refined over the years to keep King County current with the latest available Images and give users access to the latest features and functionality.

During the presentation, Gacey and Betschart discussed King County’s approach to Images, how King County is creating a culture of innovation by actively managing customizations, utilizing Event Mapping to using testing automation, and implementing release sets every six to eight weeks.
