Henny Penny – Enabling Customers to Configure Complex Products Over the Web

Presented by CDI Technology

Session ID 000169, presented at INFOCUS 12

Henny Penny was founded in 1957 to build and market the world’s first commercial pressure fryer. They have held and maintained industry leadership in this category, along with expanded the product line with open fryers, rotisseries, etc. Thousands of restaurant, supermarket, and institutional foodservice operators around the world are customers of Henny Penny. This session will review how a “to-order” manufacturer, Henny Penny, enables customers to easily configure their products over the web. Unlike traditional “stock items” web storefronts, Henny Penny needed real-time integration with the JDE ERP Configurator to work directly with the rules/logic and data. Of utmost importance Henny Penny required “ease of use” for its customers. This demonstration and case-study will review how CDI’s ERP2Web solution met the demanding project requirement challenges. ROI and Business Case benefits will be reviewed.
