Anne Leung, Senior Director for Oracle PeopleSoft HCM Applications Development and Payroll Strategy, recently presented the updated PeopleSoft Payroll Update and Roadmap at RECONNECT Live! at BLUEPRINT 4D. The Regional Medical Center (RMC) in South Carolina had big plans for PeopleSoft going into 2020. With MIPRO Consulting’s assistance, those plans included updating PeopleTools as well as doing PUM updates and adding new features for both their Financial and Human Capital Management systems. Shortly after the projects kicked off, COVID arrived and could have brought everything to halt. Instead, RMC pivoted, adapted its plans to accommodate remote employees, consultants, and project managers. The end result was a successful, on-time update that included the use of many new features and a system that was current and positioned well for the future.

Selective Adoption is the term used to describe PeopleSoft’s new application lifecycle process. It is used with 9.2 PeopleSoft product line and the 9.1 Interactive Hub. Maintenance and new features are delivered throughout the year in PeopleSoft Update Images. The Images are downloaded to your site, and you can search through them and only choose the maintenance and features that you want to deploy in your system. This is very different than the old maintenance process that featured sequential bundles and costly upgrades every several years.
