Congratulations to College of Lake County and Endeavor Foundation for being the first PeopleSoft customers to earn Feature Innovator badges for deploying Health & Safety Employee Self Service to track covid vaccination status and testing in PeopleSoft.  This important topic continues to evolve as organizations look to adhere to Federal mandates and their own health and safety protocols for employees returning to work.  Our development team prioritized the delivery of the vaccination tracking feature in mid-September as a patch and in Image 40 which was released last month.

RV’s Strategy Spotlight-

HCM Image 39 is now available for download.  Image 39 is the first HCM image to be made available on the latest PeopleTools 8.59 release.  Incidentally, last month PeopleTools 8.59.03 was made available for PeopleSoft on premise customers to download.  PeopleTools 8.59 features a number of new technologies including enhancements to the user experience to make it easier to navigate and search in PeopleSoft applications.  Click here to see a quick demo.

HCM Image 39 delivers on a number of enhancements including the new PeopleTools 8.59 user experience and design, insightful Kibana analytics for Benefits, Payroll for North America, and Global Payroll Leaders, an HCM encryption framework to allow you to mask and encrypt sensitive data including bank account information, configurable addresses to allow you to enter formatted data for non-supported locations, and configurable search and display features for Fluid Position Management.  Let us know if you have plans to deploy PeopleTools 8.59 by the end of the calendar year so we can recognize your accomplishment in an upcoming newsletter.

Finally, a word for our PeopleSoft Global Payroll (GP) customers.  Please refer to an announcement posted last month if you are using one or more of the following delivered APAC or EMEA country GP extensions/localizations:  Australia, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom.  Effective January 2023, support for the aforementioned country extensions will transition over to Advanced Customer Services Market Driven Support.

Many of you are eagerly awaiting the release of HCM Image 41 which is still targeted for release by the end of this month.  Some of the features for Image 41 include: capturing Gender Identity and Expression, Team Absence Calendar for Managers, Vaccination/Testing Tracking Analytics, Dependent Data Document Upload and Approval for Benefits, and new Kibana Analytics for US Payroll Operations, among others.

Oracle PeopleSoft continues to support Classic pages for up to 3 years after the Fluid version is made available.  We know 3 years can fly by so don’t worry, Classic pages will remain delivered in the PeopleSoft database – we do not currently have plans to remove Classic pages.  However, it is highly recommended that customers deploy as many Fluid pages as possible – starting with any employee self-service, manager self-service, or approval actions or pages.

HCM Image 42 is now generally available.  It includes new Analytic Dashboards for Managers, Global Payroll, and Time & Attendance Administrators.  As your organization works through the process of employees returning to work locations, your managers can use the new Remote Worker Analytics Dashboard to view a breakdown of the remote work status of their team members,.  Also available in Image 42 is a new Calendar feature that provides employees a one-page view of their peers’ absences, schedules, holidays, work anniversaries, and birthdays.  Take a look at the Image Highlights Image 42 video for an overview of the major features available.

HCM Image 44 is now available for download.  Some of the highlights of Image 44 include:  schedule and shift change requests through employee self-service, processed absences analytics for administrators, life events analytics for benefits administrators, remote worker eligibility analytics, extended configuration options for payroll direct deposit, a program funding framework that allows for faster rules deployment of state funded programs like Paid Family Leave, configurable benefits statements, enhancements to the benefit plan compare, and much more.

As the calendar year draws to an end, we have a number of new enhancements that are being added to our product roadmap.  As each enhancement gets targeted to a future image for delivery, you will find a summary of each feature on the Product Roadmap page on peoplesoftinfo.com.  Some of the new features under consideration include:  allowing employees to enter preferred or chosen names, benefits administrator’s ability to close out unfinished life events, fluidizing the employee self-service Form 1042-S  and 1099-R for Payroll, customer-requested enhancements to the Fluid timesheet, ability for managers to use delivered direct access types to access time reporters in their self-service time pages, and new team calendars for administrators, business partners, and proxies.  Many of these enhancements originated from the Ideas Space on My Oracle Support.  We encourage customers to use the Ideas Space to vote for existing ideas and create new ones of their own for roadmap consideration.
