Every day, we hear how the world is changing through tech and innovation. But the strategies we use to lead our companies, teams and stakeholders don’t seem to match the need. There are plenty of battle scars to prove it: Gallup reports 70% of all change initiatives fail and that the US economy loses up to $150 billion a year due to failed IT projects. Data is the fuel for AI – the 21st century equivalent to what electricity did for the 20th century. AI will change everything, and companies that aggregate data from multiple sources, enriched with AI, will have a distinct advantage.

During RECONNECT 20, Rebekah Jackson, Vice President of Product Strategy at Oracle, presented how to innovate with PeopleSoft in today's turbulent times. 

Continuous delivery and innovation remain imperatives for delivering value, and yet they are even more challenging now, given unprecedented changes to budgets, operating models, and economic outlooks. To help combat these challenges, Jackson shared insights, trends, and lessons learned from the PeopleSoft Innovators – customers like you that have deployed new capabilities. Which initiatives delivered value? Were they worth the cost? If they had it to do over again, would they? 

There seem to be several key factors that are important to enterprises today in regard to conversational AI, including seamless connections with both customers and employees, business agility, continuity, and recovery. Technology has a very important role to play in employee productivity, operational efficiency, work collaboration, speed to market, agile business, supply chain insights, and online engagement. These are all things that conversational AI and digital assistants bring to the table.
