The State of Oklahoma successfully took on the challenge to move their PeopleSoft Financial and Supply Chain environment to OCI and updated their PUM image. While that was a big step, it was only their first step. Their vision and plan included migrating departments and agencies off of legacy systems and onto a centralized PeopleSoft platform. The move to OCI set the foundation for that to happen. This session will recap Oklahoma’s journey to OCI, and focus on what has been done since then and what lies ahead for the state.

We will share an overview of the State’s path to OCI and discuss plans for additional PeopleSoft usage, complementary tools and products and their plans to maintain that environment long-term.

In today’s market, organizations have options on whether/how/when to move to the Cloud. Some are reimplementing to new SaaS solutions; others are optimizing PeopleSoft and lifting their existing ERP/HCM to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; and others are choosing to integrate Cloud-based solutions with their on-premise PeopleSoft applications. Join us for a panel discussion on factors to consider in evaluating your options and how to get the most value from the direction you choose. We'll share insights to help you navigate the options and the marketplace. How do you engage Oracle? How do you evaluate providers for Cloud services and/or Cloud infrastructure? What are the benefits you should expect? What will your team be responsible for AFTER the migration? We’ll also share best practice on some of the smart things your organization can be doing TODAY so that you’re ready for TOMORROW: Designing Cloud-proofed business processes that can easily move PeopleSoft down either cloud path; Automating manual tasks to help your staff redefine the nature of “work”; Identifying opportunities to reduce and retire third-party systems. Bring your questions and join us for successful strategies that will help you ensure a smooth landing if and when your cloud migration comes, and allow you to keep innovating in the meantime.

While PeopleSoft customers are maximizing ROI by staying current and taking advantage of new release features and tools, they are also thinking ahead to the next generation ERP Cloud and are trying to decide when and how to get there. Customers are aware that all roads lead to Cloud, but deciding which path to take, and when and how is a challenge. Astute Business Solutions and Oracle will discuss various use cases for moving to Cloud, share proven strategies and outcomes, present solution options and paths, and help you transition to the next generation Cloud solution.

Sorry to bring this up, but there is probably a huge ERP project in your future. Whether you move to a SaaS platform or reimplement PeopleSoft to fully modernize, if you want to stay relevant, it’s not a question of “if”, but “when”. How does your organization go about preparing for that? Someone once said that implementing a new ERP can be like sewing your parachute after you jump. You just hope you can get enough pieced together before you hit the ground. But wouldn't it be easier (and safer) if your parachute was ready before you even left the ground?

One of PeopleSoft’s greatest strengths has always been its flexibility but it’s also one of its greatest challenges. If you’re contemplating the move to a SaaS solution, how do you shift from the unlimited (and sometimes uncontrolled) flexibility of PeopleSoft to cookie-cutter rigidity? What do you lose and gain along the way?

Join us for Paul Taylor’s theoretical (and often entertaining) musings of “what might be”. How do you address business requirements that aren’t delivered within the base product? What additional overhead needs to be considered with plug-ins and add-ons? How do you manage user expectations...and how do you tell them, "No"? Paul will explore benefits and challenges both obvious and unseen. DISCLAIMER: We hope you’re curious about what he has to say, because we’re not quite sure what to expect.

Wondering if Chatbot technology is something your organization can utilize? How difficult it is to get started? How long does it take? Will it be used once in place? What does support look like after implementation? The first half of the session will walk you through our adventure of implementing Oracle Digital Assistant with PeopleSoft Benefits & Payroll Chatbots at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. We will share how we got started and why, go over our approach, and highlight some challenges we faced along the way. That will be followed by an interactive discussion.
