HMH expanded its suite of integrated PeopleSoft products by implementing the PeopleSoft Expenses, replacing a legacy Expensibles product. Upon final rollout, up to 30,000 team members will be able to create pre-travel authorizations, enter expense reports, and submit/approve via mobile devices. HMH implemented native mobile functionality designed specifically for its expense capture and approval demands. Written in pure Fluid architecture, PeopleSoft allows easy configuration of mobile content, with an extensible framework to accommodate unique processes and configurations. Working tightly with systems integrator SpearMC, the solution implemented simplifies HMH expense reporting, helping team members stay on top of receipts and submit timely expense reports, while also helping accounting tighten its expense cycles.

In the past 10 years, working from home has become more and more common. When employees only worked in a few specific locations, it was easy to setup those locations in PeopleSoft with its core features (including its tax requirements) and maintain that location for all the employee’s that worked there. But in the new remote working world (especially with COVID), employees are now working most of their hours from home, which may be in other states and with new tax localities. State tax revenue offices have become more aware of this trend and have been more aggressive about getting those employees or employers to pony up any work location taxes in addition to any resident taxes the employee should be paying. But this can be a maintenance and compliance nightmare for a payroll and tax department. Especially for states like Pennsylvania which have work tax codes in the thousands. Ensuring that the correct codes are assigned to an employee’s work and resident location(s) is challenging.

We all want to have clean data in our HCM systems. Bad data in, means bad decisions; but often times the most overlooked ‘simple’ data that can be just as important as payroll and job data is employee and work addresses. In HCM, address data is not only used to mail things, it’s also used to identify and assign tax codes to employees as well as determine which benefits plans are available to employees. If the address is invalid, or full of typos (which happens in Employee Self-Service or when Administrators try to transcribed handwritten forms), it can be difficult to get these downstream processes setup correctly. As delivered, PeopleSoft does not have any delivered functionality or integrations to validate address data.

The State of Oklahoma successfully took on the challenge to move their PeopleSoft Financial and Supply Chain environment to OCI and updated their PUM image. While that was a big step, it was only their first step. Their vision and plan included migrating departments and agencies off of legacy systems and onto a centralized PeopleSoft platform. The move to OCI set the foundation for that to happen. This session will recap Oklahoma’s journey to OCI, and focus on what has been done since then and what lies ahead for the state.

Drilling URL’s can be a time saving feature when added to a query. When a query has a drilling URL embedded, it essentially contains hyperlinks back to the source page within PeopleSoft. This saves time navigating and searching for the results shown in the query. Eliminate the need to write down information from the query or print the query and navigate to the source data when adding a drilling URL. In this short demo we will show the basics of adding a drilling URL to a standard query.

Match Exception Collaboration Center provides both Accounts Payable (AP) and non-AP (Buyers/Receivers, requestors, and approvers) users a single place to review and respond to match exceptions, while maintaining segregation of duties.
When resolving match exceptions, AP requires more information about transaction details from buyers, receivers or inspectors. Payable users typically use the Match Workbench to resolve match exceptions. Non-AP users are not typically granted access to this workbench or does not support non-AP users in correcting match exceptions effectively. Hence, providing a single window for AP and non-Payables users to collaborate increases the efficiency in resolving match exceptions.

Join us to learn about how ERPA helped Daytona State College (DSC) to use PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) scripts for system validation. Although PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) is primarily used for functional testing, we will demonstrate our approach for automating system validation using PTF scripts.
After a system refresh or update, customers must spend considerable amount of time to validate if the basic system functionality (such as Ping test, COBOL process, SQR process, log in/log out) works. This validation usually involves someone logging into the system and manually checking each of the functionality.
ERPA has developed PTF scripts for Daytona State College (DSC) to automate the validation of the system post refresh or post update. The system validation scripts can be executed with one click execution and a summarized report is available at the end of testing. This package makes it easier to validate any setup and configuration multiple times during different test cycles or after PUM updates.
