The State of Indiana has been evolving found PeopleSoft Cloud Manager. This session is a long-term ERP and HCM cloud strategy over the past several years. After a year-long hold on the project due to an election and budgetary constraints, the state started an accelerated lift-and-shift to move all PeopleSoft FSCM and HCM environments to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in November of 2025. With a May 2026 go-live, this session will outline the process, key architecture decisions, and paint a picture of the future for PeopleSoft within the State of Indiana utilizing many of the modernization features available in OCI eligible for the following CPE Credit: NASBA

The Covid-19 pandemic created challenges for virtually everyone in corporate America. Keeping the State of Indiana’s PeopleSoft Financials users trained was no exception. In February 2020 (only days prior to the coronavirus becoming a part of our collective vocabulary), I kicked off a Statewide project to update our training documentation, which garnered not only the *attention* of our elected officials, but also their buy-in and support. Of note, this occurred after determining that many training materials hadn’t been updated since the 2009 implementation of PeopleSoft with the State of Indiana, and now, time was of the essence. Fast forward to the project kick-off session, where I hosted approximately 75 stakeholders only days prior to the majority of employees ‘going remote’. We knew the importance of not only updating the Instructor-Led Training (ILT) materials to account for PUM / version changes but also acknowledging the criticality of migrating the content to a Computer-Based Training (CBT) format. The pandemic gave us further justification to push this project to the front burner in our stakeholders’ respective workloads and get this information to our approximately 8,000 impacted PeopleSoft Financials users. In this session, we will discuss how we accomplished this with stakeholders that were almost 100% remote, we’ll also focus on the importance of migrating from ILT to CBT format and why, even post-pandemic, this remains the best methodology for training our PeopleSoft Financials end users.

This session highlights New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) and its PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modernization on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) through implementation of Oracle PeopleSoft Cloud Manager. Attendees will gain a practical, end-to-end view of the implementation and the measurable benefits achieved. The presentation explores how NBCC used Cloud Manager—particularly Policy Manager—to automate Dev, Test, Training, and Production environments. By scheduling automated start/stop events, NBCC reduced costs and improved efficiency. Capabilities such as self-service provisioning, automated backup and restore, Lift & Shift, and lifecycle management further streamlined operations and maximized uptime. A concise overview of key features will include environment provisioning, governance, install and configure, orchestration, updates and upgrades, PeopleTools patching, selective adoption, and backup and recovery. Learning objectives include: Understanding the implementation process. Identifying required resources and timelines. Quantifying operational and financial benefits. Leveraging Policy Manager to lower total cost of ownership through automation. The session addresses common questions: Which features drive the most value? How does Cloud Manager reduce costs?
