JD Edwards (JDE) environments are evolving rapidly, and organizations are looking for smarter, more intuitive ways to optimize operations. This session introduces how Agentic AI, combined with autonomous process automation, is reshaping JDE workflows by enabling intelligent, collaborative systems that work alongside users to enhance efficiency and decision-making. Leveraging generative AI, natural language interactions, and task-oriented agents, JDE processes can be transformed from static, traditional ERP activities into dynamic, AI-driven operational flows. The session showcases how advanced AI agents can interpret functional and technical queries, automate repetitive tasks, coordinate multi-step processes across JDE modules, and integrate seamlessly with surrounding enterprise applications. With the support of Oracle AI services—including sentiment analysis, data classification, and language intelligence—these agents introduce contextual understanding and autonomous execution capabilities that elevate ERP performance. Real-world scenarios illustrate how organizations are deploying agentic systems to boost user productivity, streamline operations, strengthen governance, and achieve greater business agility in a modern, digital-first landscape.

In PeopleTools 8.62 it is possible to add and configure additional OpenSearch Plugins to OpenSearch delivered for PeopleSoft. Symantec Search can be configured using Neural Search and machine learning models. Semantic search employs Neural Search in order to determine the intention of the user’s query in the search context, thereby improving search relevance. Neural Search can use OpenSearch-provided pretrained models, your own custom models, or a foundation model hosted on an external platform. Conversational Search can be configured to use external AI LLM’s. Conversational Search uses large language models (LLMs) to read the top N documents and synthesizes those documents into a plaintext “answer” to your question. Additional Plug-Ins that can be configured are Anomaly Detection and Alerting. Anomaly detection automatically detects anomalies in your OpenSearch data in near real-time and the Alerting Plugin can notify you as soon as an anomaly is detected.

In today’s fast-evolving AI landscape, organizations are racing to deploy intelligent systems but often overlook crucial factors that shape success, sustainability, and trust. While many assume their teams or partners have these bases covered, the reality is more nuanced, and the risks, more significant. This session, grounded in real-world examples of implementing AI within PeopleSoft and related enterprise systems, explores the Top 10 AI Questions You’re NOT Asking. It cuts through the buzz to highlight what truly matters in enterprise AI adoption. From understanding how your data is used and governed, to ensuring fairness, transparency, and long-term adaptability, this talk empowers participants to think critically about every stage of their AI journey. Attendees will leave with a practical checklist to assess and strengthen their AI initiatives with confidence, clarity, and accountability.

How do we address the pressing and ever-growing challenge of managing and interrogating vast amounts of enterprise data, both within and outside PeopleSoft? Traditional methods often fall short in providing efficient and intuitive access to this data, leading to inefficiencies and missed insights. While PeopleSoft has made several strides in recent years utilizing OpenSearch to address this problem (Global Search, Real-Time Indexing, OpenSearch Dashboards, etc.), Generative AI has potential to unlock additional data insights. We will demonstrate how to leverage a platform-agnostic AI framework to interact with large language models (LLMs) within PeopleSoft to interrogate enterprise data. In this talk, we highlight a few specific use cases that showcase the practical applications of this technology: •We'll explore a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach to interact with a knowledge base, facilitating a chat capability where users can ask questions about enterprise policies, procedures, and processes. •We'll feed data directly from PeopleSoft into the AI, allowing users to securely ask questions on any data which they have access to. We rely on PeopleSoft Security and PeopleSoft Search Framework for dynamic OpenSearch queries, inheriting appropriate document level security to control what data the AI can access.

Developing an AI Proof of Concept (POC) is often the easiest part of the journey, but taking that solution to production within an enterprise JD Edwards environment is where the real challenges begin. This session will explore our experience transforming an AI-powered agent built around JDE Orchestrations from a functional prototype into a fully operational, secure, and scalable production solution. Attendees will gain insights into the practical aspects of scaling AI solutions in the JDE ecosystem, including architectural considerations, integration patterns, performance tuning, and data governance. We will also discuss lessons learned around authentication, reliability, and user adoption, which are key factors that determine long-term success beyond the initial POC phase. This session will benefit Business Analysts, Developers, and IT Leaders interested in understanding what it truly takes to operationalize AI in the JD Edwards landscape, from concept to continuous improvement.

This is a Business look at practical applications of Machine Learning & AI. Using Oracle Machine Learning algorithms, I'll show how to produce results quickly for a business. Training a model with either data that you have or data via Big Data opportunities will be key to teach a model. After you have the correct algorithm, testing the model on new data that starts to prescribe what to do in the future on things like Big Data or other data in other places. Understanding which customers or potential customers are likely to buy is another place to leverage AI. Finding anomalies quicker to address as needed (potentially with an Agent). Finding the product that is the next product a customer will buy is helpful to increase revenue. Finding attributes of great customers create opportunities & you'll learn what they want to buy first or second. Add a chatbot to ask the customer or help the customer or employee find something in a document.

As AI becomes an essential tool in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne organizations, the ability to craft clear and effective prompts is rapidly becoming a critical skill for executives, business analysts, developers, and end users alike. This session demystifies how chat-based AI systems interpret language and provides practical strategies for turning vague questions into precise, high-value prompts that produce consistent and accurate results. Attendees will learn why AI sometimes “hallucinates,” how to avoid misleading outputs, and how to structure prompts to improve reliability, traceability, and alignment with JDE-specific tasks. Whether you are troubleshooting CNC issues, designing orchestrations, writing SQL, documenting business processes, or simply exploring new capabilities, proper prompting dramatically increases productivity and reduces errors. This presentation will include real-world examples from JD Edwards administration, development, and functional workflows—showing how AI can accelerate problem solving, code generation, documentation, analytics, and decision-making when guided effectively. Attendees will leave with a practical prompting framework, ready-to-use templates, and a clear understanding of how to get the most value from modern chat AI within the JD Edwards ecosystem.
