During Quest Experience Week (QXW) 2019, we explored the world of chatbots, digital assistants, and the future. There are thousands of chatbots in use today, and if you’ve called or texted a customer services group, then you’ve likely encountered one. It's important to understand where chatbots are in use and what their value is to both the individual and the organization. There are both simple and more complex use cases for the implementation and use of chatbots and digital assistants within a modern ERP application.

As part of Quest Experience Week (QXW) 2019, Jeffrey Jordan, Director of Enterprise Services for the State of Maine, spoke about the State of Maine’s continuing journey into data analytics with Oracle Cloud and the Oracle Analytics Cloud Services implementation project that the team has been working on. In the last year, the State has rolled out a data model with Oracle Analytics Cloud to support the analysis and report on more than 3,000 general ledger accounting, human resources, and biennial budget data elements. Jordan's presentation covered how the modern presentation and data exploration capabilities of the Oracle Analytics platform, combined with the ungoverned data mashup capability of Oracle Data Visualizer, has led to early success stories and user adoption.

Joyce Boland, Oracle's Vice President of Applications Global Marketing, wrote about Oracle CEO Mark Hurd's thoughts on the new wave of supply chain automation that is coming in today's workforce.

Chatbots are becoming an increasingly popular part of Artificial Intelligence within the workforce. A chatbot is a computer program that conducts a conversation through auditory or textual methods. A recent presentation taught Quest users about what they need to create a chatbot.
