Everyone (from analysts to software vendors to customers) is talking about Continuous Innovation and most agree on why it should be the new normal for your ERP system. Before the IT team jumps heads on and starts deploying new tools & processes, let's make sure that rest of your organization has been bought into this…

At COLLABORATE 19, A.J. Schifano, a Product Manager for Oracle JD Edwards, walked through how the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator can help customers thrive in the digital economy.

Consumer Goods companies continue to struggle on creating a clear demand picture inclusive of Weekly / SKU / Location specific forecasting netted against projected supply being driven by Trade Promotion spend generally between 25 and 37% of Gross Sales. Oracle uniquely provides capabilities for CPG companies to generate and evaluate their forecasts providing a base volume showing Trend and Seasonality impacts, as well as evaluating each element of the trade spend across price, merchandising such as Ads, Special Store Placement, Consumer incentives, etc. Being able to generate an “explainable forecast” across all of these levers and evaluate the volume, revenue and margin contribution of each lever is industry leading.

All companies strive to optimize JDE Master Record onboarding processes. Shared or Dropbox Folders, Excel, Email and/or Custom Code processes partially help but inefficiencies like Duplicate Data/Entry, Missing or Incorrect Data and No Controls (e.g., Workflow/Notifications) still exist. K-Rise Systems EASYCreate is a JDE “Best Practices” Portal Applications for Initiating, Approving & Creating JDE Stock/Non-Stock…

The only thing that is constant is change. JD Edwards began with World, then moved on to Client Server, then introduced HTML client, and now there’s EnterpriseOne 9.2. Clayton Seeley, a Product Architect on the Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development team, spoke at COLLABORATE 19 about how to streamline the process when upgrading to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2. He walked through the latest upgrade improvements that can help cut weeks off of your upgrade process. JD Edwards has automated the process of getting code current during an upgrade, which removes manual steps like applying ESUs, special instructions, and Tools releases.

The session will provide information about JDE and ERP Cloud localizations for Latin America, and the main challenges of an implementation in this region. We will explain the alternatives for solving localization gaps in both ERPs, and the solutions ITCROSS has developed for JDE in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and others.
