But, it is possible to augment the existing on-premises ERP solutions with Oracle Cloud modules. Chris Murphy, Director of Cloud Content at Oracle, spoke with Sarabjeet (Jay) Chugh, a Senior Director of Emerging Technology Products at Oracle, about how to determine if blockchain fits into a company’s project. Since there is so much recent excitement about emerging technology and the potential of blockchain, today’s workforce faces the risk of project planners applying this technology to problems that it doesn’t fit with. Chugh’s intention is to help organizations avoid that issue, sort out business use cases for blockchain, and decide if blockchain or a different solution, like a database, is the best fit.

As part of PeopleSoft Global Day 2019, Nagendra Krishnappa, Product Manager of PeopleTools Development at Oracle, spoke about PeopleSoft on the Oracle Cloud and how you can get there with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager 8.0. In his presentation, Nagendra covered Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), PeopleSoft on OCI, and PeopleSoft Cloud Manager 8.0 capabilities.

The PeopleSoft team has identified potential issues within Fluid Simplified Journals and has corrected them in order to create a more efficient process for users. One of the primary problems is that the Journal Entry Component Page has had a very large number of fields and links. Many of these fields and links are used on only a few journals and have very particular functions.
