As part of Quest’s 2019 Cloud Webinar Series, Joshua Stauffer from HarbisonWalker International, spoke about how HarbisonWalker International (HWI) made the move to Oracle SCM Cloud, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Oracle EPM Cloud in order to implement integrated order fulfillment and demand planning companywide. HWI now provides faster quotes, fulfills inventory from multiple service centers, and greatly reduced inventory requirements – all due to the visibility of Oracle Cloud. Stauffer covered how HWI approached this journey to the Cloud and how HWI plans to leverage Oracle Cloud in the future.

Margaret Harris, Oracle BRANDVOICE contributor, wrote in Forbes about four back-office concerns about moving to Cloud. Recent conversations have shifted away from why companies should move to the Cloud and more toward how they will get there. However, there are still a few back-office concerns about moving to Cloud that keep companies on edge. Industry veteran Juergen Lindner, Oracle Senior Vice President of Cloud Applications Marketing, said that many of these concerns are on a tactical level. Lindner identified four of the top back-office concerns about moving to Cloud. 

Aaron Engelsrud, Senior PeopleSoft System Administrator at Capella University, presented a technical and functional primer for PeopleSoft Cloud Manager. His presentation included a detailed step-by-step introduction to the installation of PeopleSoft Cloud Manager on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, installation and configuration overview, and a hands-on demonstration of PeopleSoft Cloud Manager.

When moving from on-premises to the Cloud, one of the first steps is to choose a data transfer model. There are two primary Cloud migration method options to consider, and it’s important to carefully weigh the pros and cons. An article on SearchCloudComputing by Chris Tozzi explained how to go about choosing the right Cloud migration method for you.

This session explores how Caesars Entertainment tackled this challenge and provided a solution that seamlessly automates 50+ ERP Cloud integrations. We’ll discuss several tools, including File Based Date Import, BI Publisher, Enterprise Service Bus/Integration Cloud Service, SFTP connectivity and SOAP Services. We will also illustrate how Caesars achieved a standard, yet flexible toolkit to connect their existing integrations with ERP Cloud.
