In his decades of experience in customer-facing sales and executive roles, Oracle CEO Mark Hurd has learned a thing or two about understanding people. Operational and people skills are a critical part of managing Oracle, one of the world’s largest private employers, and addressing the constant need for new talent to sustain its growth. When Hurd joined the company eight years ago, Oracle had roughly 105,000 employees. Today, its global workforce comprises 137,000 people. It’s no surprise that keeping this many people happy, focused, and productive isn’t easy, and it would be unrealistic for Hurd to think he can treat every employee the same. Hurd addressed this personnel challenge by directing Oracle to deploy people- and system-driven approaches to enable Oracle’s HR department to develop personalized employee interactions and ultimately improve job satisfaction.

PeopleSoft Selective Adoption is both a huge change and opportunity for PeopleSoft customers. Another video in the PeopleSoft Spotlight Series outlined important elements of how PeopleSoft works now with Selective Adoption and how customers should adopt to take advantage of the new delivery model.

This video talked through how to work with PeopleSoft Updates Images, important concepts for keeping your system updated and as current as possible, and how to apply change and determine the impact that it may have on your system. It also explained how some changes are dependent on others and how to deal with those interdependencies.

Robbin Velayedam, Senior Director of Product Management for PeopleSoft HCM Application, presented the PeopleSoft HCM Roadmap at COLLABORATE 19. The roadmap covered planned features and enhancements that customers can expect over the next 12-18 months.

In PeopleSoft FSCM Image 31, PeopleSoft introduced enhancements that are specific to Statement 87 from the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). These enhancements included business unit configuration options and the recognition of a financed purchase for contracts with a transfer of ownership.

You can easily move between analytics for in-depth analysis from different vantage points. PeopleSoft HCM delivers the HR Analytics Administrator role to secure the Workforce Insight dashboard and the individual analytics on the dashboard. Authorized users can access analytics from the dashboard.
