Volunteer Spotlight

Our community is powered by volunteers who are generous with their time, experience, and perspective. In this month’s Volunteer Spotlight, we’re excited to introduce one of the leaders helping shape meaningful conversations across the Quest community, James McBride, who has stepped into the role of Community SIG group leader for the Quest ERP Community, and was recently named Quest’s 2026 Cloud Volunteer of the Year!

I’m James McBride, Financial Systems Manager for Voya Financial, and am an Oracle ACE Associate who has worked with Oracle Cloud ERP since Release 11 of the tool. I greatly enjoy the challenge of working with tools that are constantly improving and evolving to meet the needs of my business partners. In my spare time I enjoy participating in and teaching Taekwondo.

I serve on the Quest Advisory Board for an opportunity to voice success, challenges, and concerns associated to the common tools used by the community. Being bold and detailed is important to the future direction of my team and business partners. Being a part of the Quest community for me means constant growth. The community and its members provide regular information and feedback that force me to consider new options and opportunities both within my job responsibilities and without. The community serves as an amazing sounding board and point of reference for the ever-evolving cloud environment. We often share similar challenges and opportunities with new and existing features. The ability to discuss those ideas and roadblocks with other professionals in the same situation is an extremely value use of available time.
